Nathaniel Hackmann

NATHANIEL HACKMANN* (Chauvelin) is thrilled to be returning to the Engeman Theater! Last seen in Oklahoma! (Judd) and title characters in Jekyll & Hyde. He has portrayed Jean Valjean and Javert on Broadway in Les Misérables, as well as the titular roles in The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (not the Beauty). For the BBC Proms at London’s Royal Albert Hall, he appeared with the John Wilson Orchestra in the acclaimed production of Oklahoma! as Curly and has also portrayed Gaby in On The Town for Leonard Bernstein’s 100th Birthday Celebration. His recording as Curly in Oklahoma! will be available this September on Chandos Records, followed next year by his Billy Bigelow in Carousel. Nathaniel Hackmann holds a BM and MM in vocal performance from Central Michigan University.
